A Well of Hope in a Dry Land
Before the borehole was established, the children and volunteers faced many challenges in accessing clean and reliable water. Water scarcity frequently affected our hygiene, food production, and daily activities. Today, we joyfully testify that the borehole has become a “well of life”, supplying fresh and clean water to the children and empowering the centre to run effectively and sustainably.
The children now drink safe water, maintain good hygiene, and grow in a healthy environment—free from the burden of searching for water. Indeed, the gift of water has restored dignity and created a foundation for growth.

Transforming Lives Through Agriculture
One of the greatest impacts of this project has been in agriculture. With the dependable water source, the children have begun training in modern agricultural practices. They are actively learning how to prepare nursery beds, plant vegetables, irrigate crops, and maintain a clean farm environment.
This hands-on training has not only provided healthy food for the centre but has also become a source of empowerment. The children feel proud, responsible, and inspired as they see their crops flourish. Agriculture has become a tool of healing, confidence-building, and life skills development—preparing them for a brighter and more self-reliant future.

A Prayer for the Next Step: Electric Pump Installation
Currently, the borehole is operated using a hand pump. While we are grateful for this provision, it requires physical effort that is sometimes strenuous for the children. Because of this limitation, irrigation is done slowly and inconsistently, making it difficult to maximize the potential of the agricultural project.
Our prayer is to install an electric pump system to ease water access and enhance irrigation. With a reliable and efficient pumping solution, the children will be able to expand their farming activities, improve food production, and strengthen the sustainability of the rescue centre.
This next step will make the Water for Life project even more impactful—turning the borehole into a fully functional irrigation and daily-use water system.
