CHRIST AMBASSADOR MISSION TEAM (CAMT-Kenya) CBO is an independent, young thriving Community Based Organization which is interdenominational in nature. The Organization was founded by MR.ROBERT NJUE NAMU from Mbeere North district in Embu county Kenya. The program was launched in a colorful ceremony held at Canaan Guest House Embu on March 25th, 2013 with the aim of carrying out mentorship and empowerment program for the youth, women and teenagers and the entire member of mbeere community through offering trainings on peace missions, food security, servant leadership, discipleship programs, church growth and missions management, cross cultural exchange programs, theatre and art, human rights and mediation programs. The launch ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honor Ambassador Sylvester Gakumu -a former diplomat who served as a principal of many schools in Embu and the Ambassador of Kenya Mission Abroad for the Central Republic of Congo. We later registered CAMT-KENYA in the year 2016 as a Community Based Organization.
The program emphasizes on the need to for unity and the need to unlock the economic potentials in women, youth and children who would be the present and future leaders of our county and the nation, alleviating the high illiteracy levels that lead to high poverty index hence causing a cycle of poverty for the Country. The program is clear in its strategy on employing a Participatory Evaluation Process (P.E.P).As CBO our aim is to improve on the approaches and methods so as to come up with a new paradigm with which every person would fit in as a way of life, a daily practice that would become a practice of behavior to improve individual personal development plan as well as that of the general community.
